This paper evaluates QoS of the next-generation in-vehicle Ethernet-based networks in combination with the following three controls defined in IEEE 802.1TSN by simulation. The authors target Strict Priority Queueing (SPQ), Frame Replication and Elimination for Reliability (FRER) and Frame Preemption (FP). The experimental results indicate the followings. First, traffic of the highest priority should be applied SPQ to guarantee its QoS. Second, it is necessary to adopt an appropriate combination of QoS control for traffics of other priority in order to prevent them from deteriorating too much.

QoS and QoE Evaluation of TCP Multi-Pathization Method with SDN over IoT networks for Web Service Reviewed
140 ( 12 ) 2020.12
Language:Japanese Publishing type:Research paper (scientific journal)
This paper studies the effectiveness of the TCP multi-pathization method with SDN for IoT networks on Web services by experiments of QoS/QoE assessment. The experimental results show that the method is affected less by a difference of delay between paths and can always provide higher QoS than normal TCP for Web services. In addition, the authors indicate that the method can provide higher QoE than normal TCP, and suppresses QoE degradation more. From the above results, the paper confirms that the TCP multi-pathization method with SDN is effective for Web services.

Assessment of QoS/QoE for the Maximum Transmission Rate over Congested IEEE802.11g Wireless LAN for Web Services Reviewed
140 ( 12 ) 2020.12
Language:Japanese Publishing type:Research paper (scientific journal)
This paper studies an appropriate value of the maximum transmission rate under congested for IEEE802.11g wireless LAN by experiments with subjects. In the experiment, the authors studied the appropriate value of maximum trans- mission rate according to Quality of Experience(QoE) for Web services. This paper treats actual two Web services: Google map and Amazon. This paper studied the QoE-based appropriate values of the maximum transmission rate by experiment. As a result, as Google map and Amazon, we found that the suitable maximum transmission rate exits two point to improve QoE. For Google map, one does not change by the degree of congestion and the other change by it. For Amazon, the suitable maximum transmission does not change regardless of the number of user.

Language:English Publishing type:Research paper (international conference proceedings) Publisher:IEEE
This paper studies the evaluation of QoS over a network that supports IEEE802.1TSN standards. The authors focus on IEEE802.1Q, IEEE802.1CB, and IEEE802.1Qbu and evaluate the QoS under the environment combined with these standards by simulation. From the results, the paper shows how to utilize these standards to meet the required QoS.

Study on Affect of GCL of Time-Aware Shaper on QoS for IEEE802.1 TSN Networks Reviewed International journal

—A time-triggered scheduling mechanism called
Time-Aware Shaper (TAS) is one of IEEE802.1 Standards and
has a parameter, which is called Gate Control List (GCL), to
control for each class of stream or traffic. QoS will be degraded if the implementer of TAS does not use an appropriate value of the GCL. This paper studies the effect of the GCL on QoS over a network which supports TAS to search an appropriate value of the GCL.
