    rationalityとruledness，或いはこれらに関連した階層構造の存在，非存在のための条件調べる．存在のためには，双有理代数幾何の森理論的手法を援用し，非存在のためには，unramified cohomology およびモチビックホモトピー論の手法を援用する．

    Morel-Voevodskyにより，古典的ホモトピー論は，(少なくとも定義体が複素数体の部分体の場合には)代数幾何のホモトピー論である，モチビックホモトピー論の一部となり，古典的ホモトピー論の困難な問題がモチビックホモトピー論での考察により得られるようになった．

    その一方で，古典的ホモトピー論の重要な大域的結果として，Hopkins-Smithによる安定ホモトピー圏のコンパクト対象からなる部分三角圏のthick subcategoryの分類が有る．ところが，モチビックホモトピー論で同様の問題は，その重要性にも拘らず，完全解決には程遠い．

    本研究では，この困難な問題に一歩一歩地道に挑戦して行く．
