    ある高速道路建設時に支持地盤である深層風化花崗岩の変形剛性が不足することにより、多数の基礎構造物に大きな沈下が発生した。そのため浸透固化工法による地盤改良を施し、構造物沈下を抑えて工事を無事完成させた。しかし、新設永久基礎構造物に浸透固化工法が用いられたのは稀であり、工期と施工費用を抑えることは利点であるが、その長期安定性が懸念される。特に深層風化が激しく、且つ広範囲(数キロ)に及ぶ特殊な地質条件下で、浸透固化補強地盤の長期安定性に関する定量的な評価がまだなく、正確に把握することが本研究の主な目的である。
